Job Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Consistently serve beverage and food in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Attend pre-shift meeting before event begins in order to learn function particulars, including bar specs and guest expectations
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Lead product flight tastings & education for tour guests
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, menu availability
  • Maintain proper dining experience - Present menus, offer recommendations, communicate specific customer needs to the cooks, replenish utensils, refill beverages, offer product education
  • Maximize revenues by offering “up-sells”
  • Obtain revenues, accept payment, issue receipts
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • Follow attendance rules
  • Uphold health and safety standards
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
  • Adhere to Distillery policies, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Learn and demonstrate all Distillery standards of service
  • Attend all employee meetings and trainings beyond scheduled shifts as required
  • All other related responsibilities assigned by management

Job Requirements

  • 1 year experience in a professional serving position strongly preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate familiarity with various service techniques
  • Have basic knowledge of service standards, guest relations, wine, food and beverage preparations
  • Basic level knowledge of cocktail mixing & spirit flavor profiles
  • Basic level of knowledge of distillation processes

Physical Requirements

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 20 lbs
