POSITION SUMMARY
The La Crosse Radio Group operating in a 100,000+ market is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and inspire. The sales team to sell traditional media advertising through creative programming and advanced delivery methods including HD radio, and mobile messaging for its five radio stations. The radio stations broadcasting throughout western Wisconsin.
The Sales Manager reports directly to the Managing Partner at La Crosse Radio Group. Salary range inclusive of commission is $50 - $80,000 with starting salary being negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Position Overview
La Crosse Radio Group located in La Crosse, Wisconsin (population 52,000) market of 100,000, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and inspire the sales team to sell traditional media advertising through creative programming and advanced delivery methods, HD Radio, and mobile messaging for its five radio stations. The radio stations broadcasting throughout the Coulee Region include: 104.9, Magic 105 WLXR offering the Best Variety from the 80’s, 90’s and today; Eagle 102.7 KQEG featuring the “Greatest Hits from the 60’s and 70’s”. The Eagle is also the flagship station for La Crosse Logger’s baseball and Wisconsin Badger’s football and basketball; WKBH is 100.1 - Classic Rock; CC 106.3 WQCC “Today’s Best Country and Your All-Time Favorites” and Original Hits is on WLFN 1490 AM.
The Sales Manager reports directly to Pat Smith, Managing Partner at La Crosse Radio Group.
The anticipated salary range for the position is $50,000-$80,000 inclusive of commission, with starting salary being negotiable, depending upon qualifications and experience.

Candidate Qualification Criteria
The ideal candidate will have a positive track record in radio sales with prior management experience.
Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Must demonstrate a high degree of time management and organizational skills.
Must be able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and stress.
High degree of flexibility and ability to work with constantly changing environments.
Have a proven track record and commitment to community based organizations.
Have the ability to interact successfully and positively in a participatory climate, working openly and effectively with all departments of the station - Programming, Traffic, On Air Talent, Account Executives, etc.
Allow latitude to sales staff to carry out their responsibilities relatively independently while personally remaining knowledgeable and accountable for overall programs, projects, and services; not be autocratic or a micro-manager.
Believe in and practice team management, actively encouraging participation by staff.
Be sensitive to issues of employee morale and have a reputation for developing staff motivation and teamwork; be a role model to staff, leading by example; supporting, counseling, and mentoring others as appropriate.
Have a successful track record of employee relations and be knowledgeable about human resources practices; have a reputation for fairness in personnel actions.
